iKnow

The iKnow Natural Language Processing technology was originally developed in Belgium and then acquired by InterSystems in 2010. In February 2020, InterSystems published the technology to open source, expanding the possible use cases for it beyond embedded use from the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform. iKnow is open to community contributions to enhance the engine, language models and interfaces for use in text exploration, information extraction and machine learning use cases.

BPMN Support for InterSystems IRIS Interoperability

Currently, the IRIS process engine uses BPEL. It would be great if IRIS also supports the process engine in BPMN. The BPMN notation has many more features than BPEL, in addition to being more intuitive and used in the market. There are already BPMN engines ready, which can be built in at no additional cost to InterSystems, the main one is Flowable (https://www.flowable.com), but we have camunda and we have all of them originating from Activity. They have a well-documented and easy-to-use Java and REST API. Making it easy to use built-in IRIS.
